Custom Development

Bespoke connectors, add-ins, portals, and apps for the project workflows off-the-shelf software does not cover, delivered fixed price or by an embedded team.

What we build

System connectors

Custom extracts and joins between Primavera P6, Smart 3D, Navisworks, Smart Materials, and the rest of your stack, where no off-the-shelf connector exists.

Power BI visuals and Excel add-ins

Custom visuals and add-ins built to your reporting standard, by the team behind six apps on Microsoft AppSource.

Project portals and web apps

Browser-based tools for package review, field data capture, and status workflows that no packaged product covers.

Workflow automation
Services and scheduled jobs that replace the manual exports and weekly reformatting your team does by hand.
Source and deployment handoff
Source code, documentation, and a working deployment on your infrastructure. You keep everything when the engagement ends.

How it works

  1. 1

    Scope

Walk the workflow with the people who run it, then write a spec you can hold us to.

  2. 2

    Build

Short iterations reviewed against real project data.

  3. 3

    Deploy

Stand the tool up on your infrastructure, wired to the systems it reads from.

  4. 4

    Hand off or stay on

Transfer source and documentation to your team, or keep our developers embedded under a managed services agreement.

Custom development for capital projects

Capital projects run on software that almost fits. The scheduling tool cannot read the model, the materials system exports to a spreadsheet someone reformats every Monday, and the workflow your planners actually follow lives in a tool nobody built for it. Custom development closes those gaps: connectors, add-ins, portals, and apps built for the way your project actually moves work, on top of the information management practices your project already runs.

We build this kind of software for ourselves before we build it for anyone else. Our team ships five Power BI apps and one Excel app on Microsoft AppSource, gives Skyline, Burndown, and the UDiTH PBI Connector away free, and maintains a full API surface on openAWP so other systems can plug in. The same developers take on bespoke work: extracts and joins between Primavera P6, Smart 3D, Navisworks, and Smart Materials, custom Power BI visuals shaped to your reporting standard, and web portals for the workflows no vendor covers.

There are two ways to engage. Fixed price: we scope the build, quote it, and deliver it. Embedded: our developers join your project org chart under a managed services agreement and work your backlog. We run a team like this today, three billable consultants embedded at a Tier 1 EPC. Either way the deliverable is yours: source code, documentation, and a deployment on your infrastructure that keeps working after we leave.
